RVA Heroes: A Geek Chic Gala

 @racheldepompatv is an Emmy award winning reporter that digs deep into issues affecting the community. Uncovers corruption, fraud and waste, cultivates sources and tracks government spending. Her investigations have led to federal charges and convictions, state probes and fundamental changes in the way organizations do business. She is the Director of Investigations at @12onyourside. 

Lynn is a Hero in more ways that I can count! 

Lynn is a social worker for Henrico County's crisis department. Before that, she worked as a mental health case manager at an emergency room. She is also an outpatient therapist for MySpectrum and she even was on our stage a few years ago for a panel when she worked for Big Brothers Big Sisters! 

On a personal note, she helped save the life of GWE preisdent David Lane, so there's a good chance that GWE wouldn't exist today if it wasn't for her (thanks, Lynn)!

As someone who dedicates her life to helping others, we can't think of a more deserving Hero to honor at this year's gala!

 Tara Gambino is a respiratory therapist specializing in pediatrics, having worked in Neonatal & pediatric medical trauma for 10 years. She then spent about 5 years in diagnostic testing & patient education specializing in asthma & COPD. Now she works in organ procurement & transplant, assessing other potential heroes for gifts that can be procured to help others live. 

  Catie-Reagan is Director of Mental Health Education at CKG, where she creates impactful programs that empower teens and communities with the tools and knowledge needed to address mental health challenges.
