For almost twenty years Gary Cohn’s business card has read, “writer, teacher,
fencer, motorcyclist.” He says that he has had two careers as a comics writer. The
first was in the early eighties, when he co-created AMETHYST, PRINCESS OF
GEMWORLD and BLUE DEVIL at DC Comics. His second comics career came a
dozen years later, when he got aboard the Crusade Entertainment bandwagon early
on, editing SHI and writing SHI: SENRYAKU as well as his own DEMON GUN.
But when the industry slumped in the late nineties Cohn felt that he needed to step
away, and he spent fifteen years as a NYC high school teacher and fencing coach.
After retiring from teaching in 2014 he moved to Richmond, VA, where has
returned to writing. Current projects include NEW DEVIL, with Blue Devil co-
creator Paris Cullins, and NEMESIS, with former NYC teaching colleague and
BronxHeroes Con founder Ray Felix, and editorial/consultant work for Udderly
Ridiculous Productions. https://udderlyridiculousproductions.com

Nick Justus was born and raised in central Virginia. His earliest memories were of drawing disproportionate DC and Marvel superheroes on brown paper bags unfolded on the kitchen floor. He spent his formative years making creator owned comics and short action films with his friends. After high school he attended Virginia Commonwealth University for two years majoring in Illustration and Graphic Design. Then came the dark times; working in the real world for several years before submitting and successfully gaining admittance into the prestigious Kubert School of Cartoon & Graphic Art in Dover, New Jersey. He attended the three year program and graduated in 2011. Since then he’s self published, drawn sketch cards for various licensed Topps and Upper Deck properties, and had a successfully funded crowdfunding campaign for a creator owned project entitled Serpent Handler. When approached by Blue Juice Comics editor and publisher Tom Mumme in 2019 to take up penciling and inking duties on Anne Bonnie, he graciously and enthusiastically accepted! He hopes you enjoy his work and looks forward to helping deliver the adventures of Ariana and the crew for many issues to come. Nothing gives him more pleasure than the prospect of others, especially children, enjoying his work as he enjoyed the work of his comic heroes when he was a kid.

"Hi my name is Michael, I am a self-taught artist from Virginia. I have been drawing since I was able to ride a school bus. My spark in to art cam from reading marvel comics and watching Saturday Morning Cartoons regularly. As time went on I didn’t follow the art career path, but it was always there. Whether it was drawing in engineering class, my free time, or watching some animation or martial arts flic, art has always been there for me.
Eventually I became an adult and started drawing on the side as a hobbie. I have sold at Cons, I have done commissions for music artists, and I have illustrated a couple books. All of this and I still feel as though my art skills aren’t worth much. My friends and family have told me otherwise, so… here you are….. reading this page, WELCOME.

James Maxey’s mother warned him if he read too many comic books, they would warp his mind. She was right. Now an adult who can’t stop daydreaming, James is unsuited for decent work and ekes out a pittance writing down demented fantasies about masked women, fiery dragons, and monkeys. Oh god, so many monkeys.
In an effort to figure out how Superman could fly, James read a lot of science, books by Carl Sagan and Stephen Jay Gould and Stephen Hawking. Turns out, Superman probably wasn’t based on any factual information. Who would have guessed? Realizing it was possible to write science fiction without being constrained by the actual rules of science proved liberating for James, and led to the psuedo-science fiction of the Bitterwood series, superhero novels like Nobody Gets the Girl, and the steam-punk visions of Bad Wizard.
In 2015, James was honored as the Piedmont Laureate by the United Arts Councils representing Orange County, Durham County, and Wake County. This is almost certainly a sign of the ongoing cultural decay gripping the nation.
James lives in Hillsborough, North Carolina with his lovely and patient wife Cheryl and too many cats. When not writing, you'll likely find him outdoors, biking, hiking, and kayaking.
DB Bray is a writer, host and clothing designer based out of Hampton, VA. He is the author of such series as Blood & Whiskey, The Last Tribe and Firelands. Appearing with him will be cover artist Bobby Lexx, and they will be selling and signing copies of the new novel Loners.

JC Kang's unhealthy obsession with Fantasy and Sci-Fi began at an early age when his brother introduced him to The Chronicles of Narnia, Star Trek, and Star Wars. As an adult, he combines his geek roots with his professional experiences as a Chinese Medicine doctor, martial arts instructor, and technical writer to pen epic fantasy stories. His bestselling Dragon Songs Saga has sold 75,000 copies.
AJ McMullen is a sci-fi and fantasy author that is known for his tales based on Greek mythology and fantasy lore. Not intimidated in the slightest to mix up things that usually don't go together, always striving to make masterpieces of his work. His stories are a well-balanced mix of drama, action, humor, and betrayal. With a vast universe of series and characters that he can't wait to introduce, AJ McMullen is today's, Stan Lee.
Inspirational, dedicated, and unreasonably artistic, AJ is a man that has little time for play. His goals are set as he strives to understand fully what it takes to become one of the greatest to ever put pen to paper and keep writing until his list of works in progress are completed. When he does have time to relax, he does so by reading, working on his real estate business, and even co-hosting The Dirty Trunk Podcast. Outside of his work he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, playing video games, and traveling. AJ's inspiration is derived from a multitude of other works and genres that he enjoys. His current Ascension Universe was created from a dire need to do things with storyline that his favorite shows, movies, and universes wouldn't. Inevitably, this started off as a need to write DragonBall Fanfiction when he was in elementary school, drawing his own comics. This has now transcended to his own universe that includes over 190 characters and predicted to have upwards of 100 titles.
AJ is an avid for business and motivation. He is also a motivational speaker and a radio personality. He spends a lot of time using his platform to bring light to the excuses that people make to themselves about not being successful. Despite writing for 10 years before finally finishing 1 book, he credits his speaking as the initial motivation long before he ever knew if he could even sell as an author.
Originally from upstate NY, James Maxstadt lives in Burlington, NC, where he can often be found either reading or working on the near one-hundred-year-old house he owns with his wife and editor, Barb. When he’s not swinging a hammer, he’s often hammering away on the keyboard of his laptop, creating all new worlds to explore. His first creation, Duke Grandfather, was inspired by James’ love for his own grandfather, who he used to listen to for hours at a time, and by Duke’s love of ale, which James wholeheartedly understands.
James loves writing stories that combine humor, adventure, a splash of romance, and sometimes, even a bit of horror. All of his characters have a little of him in them, for better or worse.
